What size mattress do I need for my motorhome?
There's rarely a standard size — a Hymer differs from a Bailey, and an over-cab bunk differs from a fixed rear bed. Rather than guess, measure what you've got: the length, the width and the position of any cut corners. Send us those figures and we build to them exactly.
Will a standard mattress fit my motorhome bed?
Rarely. Most van beds are shorter or narrower than a home size, and the shape is seldom a clean rectangle — and a full-size mattress often won't clear the habitation door or seat into a fixed-bed well. Everything we make is cut to your bed and rolled down small to get it aboard.
Can you make over-cab, Luton and drop-down bed mattresses?
That's our bread and butter. Luton over-cabs, electric drop-downs, fixed rears, French and island beds — we match the shape and dial the depth to the job: thinner where a bed folds away, fuller where the space allows.
Are motorhome mattresses lighter, for payload?
They can be. With payload always tight in a motorhome, we can specify lighter foams and a trimmer profile that still supports you. Tell us how much weight you've got to play with and we'll strike the right balance.
Can I leave bedding in the motorhome between trips?
Yes, as long as you keep damp at bay: leave the bed unmade, keep bedding in breathable storage rather than plastic, and let air move through with a vent cracked or a dehumidifier running. Plenty of owners simply take the bedding indoors over winter.
Is it legal to sleep in a motorhome?
Yes, where you're parked legally: a licensed site, your own property, or someone's land with their say-so.
